The RAS Members exhibition will be held at at Royston and District Museum and Art Gallery and run from 21st May to 16th July 2016.
The exhibition is for fully paid-up members of RAS only who are each allowed to enter up to two framed paintings, four unframed paintings and 25 greetings cards. There is a small entry fee of £2 per painting.
If you would like to enter any paintings then first make sure you have paid your membership fee for 2016-17. Next, print out the entry form, read the Terms and Conditions, then complete and return it to Richard Clayton with your entry fee on or before Sunday 1st May.
You will need to deliver your pictures to Royston Museum and Art Gallery between 2.00 and 4.30 pm on Monday 16th May 2016. Unsold exhibits should be picked up on Monday 18th July between 10.00 and 12.00am.
The museum can take roughly 60 framed paintings. If we are over-subscribed priority will be given to the first painting on your list. Priority for hanging the second paintings will be given to those members who send their forms back early.
The space in the museum is not ideal for the display of really large paintings. Members are therefore advised not to enter paintings larger than about 4 sq ft in area.
The museum will be charging 24% commission (20% plus VAT) on all paintings or cards sold. This will be used to support Museum activities. Payments to artists who have sold paintings will be made by Royston Town Council around mid-August 2016.
