Autumn Exhibitions

The Royston Arts Society Autumn Exhibition will take place in Royston Town Hall on the weekend of 23rd to 25th September 2022 and will form a major part of Royston Arts Festival. This will be a streamlined exhibition that will concentrate on the display and sale of paintings and cards without refreshments, catalogues or raffle tickets. You can preview some of the paintings that will be on display by clicking on the poster to the right (or below for mobiles). If you like what you see please come along to see the paintings for real.

We will also be running an optional online exhibition, starting on 1st October and running through to 1st December 2022. Artists can enter some or all of their paintings (but not cards) into this online exhibition but we will not accept entries solely for the online exhibition.

Helpers

These new arrangements will reduce the number of people we will need to staff the exhibition when it is open to the public. We will however need the same number of volunteers to set up the exhibition and take it down again at the end. If you can spare some time to help out at the exhibition then please click on the link below and fill in the online helper’s form. Link to Online Helper’s Form

Members of Royston Arts Society

RAS members can enter up to four framed and four unframed paintings plus a set of up to 25 greetings cards with no hanging fee and a commission of 15% on all sold work for both the Town Hall and online exhibition. If you sell a painting, you will be able to submit a replacement for the online exhibition. Entry form for RAS Members

Non-members

Non-member artists can enter up to three framed and three unframed paintings plus a set of up to 25 greetings cards. A hanging fee will be charged plus a commission of 20% on all sold work. If you sell a painting, you will be able to submit a replacement for the online exhibition. Entry form for Non-Members

The deadline for entry is 31st August 2022

The entry forms give more details of the entry criteria and the terms and conditions some of which have changed from previous years. You will need to:

  • check-in your paintings between 5.30 and 7.30 pm on Thursday 22nd September
  • pick up the unsold work between 5.30 and 6.15 pm on Sunday 25th

If you return your form before 23rd July and enter at least some of your pictures into the online exhibition then these paintings will be considered for inclusion on the exhibition poster.
